Our Achievements

Take a look at what we achieved till now

Project COVID 2020

We have started a "KITCHEN" at Bhandarhati, Hooghly, West Bengal since October 2017 to provide for the food to 120 girl students belonging to underprivileged families. The girls get healthy and nutritious lunch(rice, dal, sabji, egg, fish and chicken) for five days a week.

These girls, barely in their teens and coming from needy families, have dreams in their eyes to be a doctor or an engineer or a teacher just like our children. But their parents treat them as burdens who should give up their studies to earn their own bread or should be married off in order to get rid off them.

Project Onno Daan (Amphan Cyclone)

We have started this new project from September 1, 2018. Everyday we provide food to all those people who don't have anybody to look upon, to care for, to encourage.

We have started with 20 persons everyday. We hope to serve more such people and make them a part of our Naihati WIN family with your support. We serve men, women and children of all ages living on the railway platforms, on the footpaths, in the slums and beside the roads.

Project Onno Dan (Yash Cyclone)

We provide essential food aid during natural disasters through the Onno Dan Project. Our mission is clear: not to let the hungry go hungry and provide them with adequate food. We provided food and essential aid to the people living in remote villages of Sundarbans during the Cyclone Umphan and Midnapore region during Cyclone Yash, starting by ensuring nutritious food for the victims. Besides, we provided food and medicines to underprivileged people throughout the COVID 19 epidemic. We extend our support to people facing various natural calamities by ensuring timely food and nutrition. We continue to bring them nutrition and resilience.

Project onnodaan (Medinipur)

Through this project, we can bring smiles to the faces of all those in need by providing dry rations and nutritious meals. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we reached out to 25 villages in Sundarbans, Purulia, and North Bengal with rice, lentils, oil, potatoes, soybeans, and more. Again, we prepared 150 packets of double-cooked meals every day for people at various stations, standing by their side. Through this project, we managed to serve 1200 people day and night during the havoc of the Sundarbans cyclone Amphan by preparing food. Furthermore, during the joyous times of Sundarbans, when boats were hired to reach the riverbanks, we delighted three thousand people every day with warm and nutritious food. Again, through this project, we provided warm and nutritious food to approximately 2200 residents of the riverside villages of Kelai in Medinipur after the Kele River overflowed its banks.

Project Sneho

We had started a "KITCHEN" at Bhandarhati, Hooghly, West Bengal since October 2017 to provide for the food to 120 girl students belonging to underprivileged families. The girls get healthy and nutritious lunch(rice, dal, sabji, egg, fish and chicken) for five days a week. These girls, barely in their teens and coming from needy families, have dreams in their eyes to be a doctor or an engineer or a teacher just like our children. But their parents treat them as burdens who should give up their studies to earn their own bread or should be married off in order to get rid off them.We have taken this pledge to provide these girls with food so that they are no longer forced out of school by their families to earn for their bread. We need your support to continue with this project. You can buy us rice, dal, cooking oil, egg, and whatever you want and witness the smiling bright faces of these young girls by visiting Bhandarhati yourself. You can also donate us cash. We wish to start our second "KITCHEN" in near future but only with your support

Disaster Support

Naihati Women In Need stood beside the earthquake victims of Nepal in 2015 by collecting dry foods, medicines, clothes and blankets. The collection was handed over to Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Ballygunge, who distributed the relief materials to the victims through their relief camps in Nepal. We distributed relief material to women and children of flood affected women and children of North Bengal on 30th July 2016 at Bhutanir Girls’ High School at Falakata. This event was covered by Uttar Banga Sambad. We thank Rita Ghosh Das, Swagata Maity, Fullora Mukhopadhyay, Suchismita Mam and many others who supported us. We would remain grateful to Sandipa Nandi Goswami for coming forward and supporting us to make this noble initiative possible.

Free Medical Camps for Children, Women and Elderly
