Ongoing Projects

Take a look at what our ongoing projects are

Project School Nirman

Kanthalberia village, nestled in the Sundarbans, is home to 2,490 residents living in 586 houses across 142.32 hectares of land. Naihati Win, a dedicated organization, has been actively serving the village for the past 5 years. Their mission is to provide education and brighter futures for the community's children. In a region where many people rely on fishing and hawking to make a living, Naihati Win's efforts have made a significant impact. One of the standout achievements in Kanthalberia is the construction of a school, measuring approximately 600 square feet, which caters to 60 children. Previously, many children in the village roamed aimlessly due to a lack of guidance and resources. Education was a distant dream for them, primarily because their families couldn't afford school supplies or coaching teachers. Parents yearned to educate their children but faced financial hardships despite their hard work in the fishing trade. Naihati Win stepped in as guardian angel, addressing the lack of study materials and providing meals for the hungry children. Naihati Win's efforts have transformed the lives of Kanthalberia's children, making their families' dreams of a brighter future come true. The school not only imparts academic knowledge but also focuses on moral education, birthdays, empathy, and community service. While children attend government schools for formal education, Naihati Win complements this by providing comprehensive support through three remarkable women. Thanks to the dedication of these three women, children have shown significant progress. They are not just excelling academically but are also developing skills in dance, music, and poetry through YouTube tutorials. These success stories inspire us and reaffirm our commitment to this noble cause. Initially, there were naysayers who tried to discourage Naihati Win's efforts. Instead of responding negatively, the organization focused on encouraging the children and setting them on a path toward a brighter future. Today, those who once opposed the school now seek admission for their own children, realizing that their education lags behind the students of Naihati Win's school. It's a poignant reminder of the impact that unity and collaboration could have had. As Naihati Win's school construction project nears completion, it is heartening to know that more children from the village will benefit from these efforts. The expanded facilities will ensure that every child has a place to sit, eat, and learn. In conclusion, Naihati Win extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported their mission to build a better society. Their journey has been marked by challenges and triumphs, but their commitment to transforming Kanthalberia Village remains unwavering. Many words have been left unsaid, but one thing is clear: together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of these children and their communities.
Stay well everyone and keep everyone well .

Project Medicine Bank

Initiative to Keep Everyone Healthy. Greetings to all the residents of Naihati WIN and the community of parents and caregivers. Naihati WIN - We are launching a new project called "Medicine Bank." In this project, we are planning to organize a free medical camp in a remote village of the Sundarbans for a continuous period of 10 days. This camp will provide free medical check-ups, free medicines, and free medical reports for the people in the village. This initiative will greatly benefit the villagers as they currently have to travel to Kolkata to buy quality medicines, visit doctors, and pay extra for transportation and meals. We can only successfully complete this project when you contribute by purchasing medicines for your regular needs and entrusting us with your surplus medicines. By doing so, you will help us in our mission to keep everyone healthy. Those who wish to donate medicines can contact us, and we will provide a list of the medicines needed. And for those who want to contribute financially towards purchasing medicines, you can also reach out to us. Take care, everyone, and keep everyone well.

Project Dristi

A warm welcome to all residents and parents from the Naihati Win community. Naihati WIN has been tirelessly serving for a decade, all thanks to your invaluable support and cooperation. Your feedback and assistance have led us to embark on a new initiative known as "Project: Dristi." In this endeavor, we have joined forces with several visually impaired schools, where students with visual impairments require specific materials such as thick books, art paper, magazines, and notebooks. These materials are skillfully embossed in Braille to illuminate the path of their education. If you happen to have items at home that are no longer in use, you can generously donate them to us. We will ensure that these items reach the visually impaired students who, despite their inability to see, can flourish through the enlightening power of education. For those of you who bring newspapers into your homes but find yourself reluctant to clutter your space, you can also make a meaningful contribution to this noble cause. These newspapers can be provided to skilled individuals in our village who can transform them into a source of daily income, earning their livelihoods. Both new and used books are vital for all our students, along with brand-new notebooks. We adopt an eco-friendly approach by recycling used notebooks and carefully tearing off the blank pages to render them reusable. This not only conserves resources but also prevents unnecessary notebook wastage. Each one of us is likely to have reusable items lying around our homes. By taking a moment to assess whether these items can benefit someone else's work, we can make a significant impact on the lives of many in need. To put things into perspective, a single page costs just Rs 3 for these visually impaired students, and even a regular notebook exceeds this amount in cost. Imagine the positive impact we can make by providing these items to those who require them. Let's unite in our commitment to build a more compassionate and supportive society. Remember, opportunities may not always come knocking at our door. Take care, everyone, and let's care for one another

Project swanirvor

Through this project, we have initiated an endeavor to empower women in rural areas of West Bengal, India. We encourage them to become self-reliant by producing various handcrafted items such as different types of clothing, handmade soaps, various spices and pickles, honey from the Sundarbans, and more. In addition, we provide many women with hand-sewing machines to enable them to do some sewing work and earn a living from the comfort of their homes. This initiative aims to uplift and empower women in these rural communities by giving them opportunities for self-sufficiency and economic independence.
